Landscapes and nature

Beyond the cities, the Netherlands also offers magnificent natural landscapes. The Hoge Veluwe National Park is a protected area where forests, dunes, heathland, and plains mingle, ideal for hiking or cycling. The polders, land reclaimed from the sea through a system of locks and dikes, create a unique landscape that is a testament to Dutch expertise in hydraulic engineering. In season, tulip fields color the countryside with vibrant hues, attracting visitors from all over the world.
